Liveryman David Gracie serves as Chairman of the Governing Body and Master Elect Ted Nicholl serves as a member of the Governing Body.
In a borough which has the highest rate of poverty, child poverty, unemployment, and pay inequality of any London borough. (Trust for London and the New Policy Institute study- 2017), the WCCSA Charitable Trustees provide much needed funding for a variety of initiatives and looks to give general financial support to the Academy and to students.
At its last Ofsted inspection MAS was judged to be outstanding in all four areas (Achievement of pupils, Quality of teaching, Behaviour and safety of pupils and Leadership and management).

MAS believes that the richness of its offer, to pupils and parents, is enhanced through partnerships, networks and collaborative projects with other organisations. The aim is to enrich students’ learning, confidence and motivation and in turn impact on the quality of school life and staff development. MAS’ partners range from small community initiatives and schemes, to government agencies, global businesses and also include prestigious universities. The benefits of these partnerships are enjoyed not just by students but by staff, parents and members of our community.
