WCCSA currently supports two schools in the Newham Community Learning Trust, Rokeby School and Eastlea Community School, by providing a governor for each, support for activities such as the annual Sheriff’s Challenge, invitations for students and teachers to attend events such as our Annual Sylvia Tutt Memorial Lecture and support to the wider Trust, through time and commitment by Liverymen supporting the governance of the Trust and schools.

We also support Mulberry Schools Trust through a governor at Trust level. We have had a governor at Mulberry Academy Shoreditch for some years and hope that might start to extend to other schools as the need arises.

Through the WCCSA Charitable Trust schools have also received funding to provide resources and/or activities that would not otherwise take place.

We are active members of the Livery Schools Link Board, engage with their annual Education Conference (an opportunity for Livery Companies to interact directly with teachers) and have a stand each year at the annual Livery Schools Link Guildhall Careers Fair, which we do in collaboration with the Chartered Governance Institute.

Through membership of the Livery Climate Action Group another opportunity is given for schools to present at the Climate Action Group conference.

In 2024 we produced a series of 4 School Governance webinars, all of which can be accessed through our Resources page.

We continue to work with the members of WCCSA to see where else we can provide support to schools as a livery company and recognise this as an important part of our outreach work.
