The University of Portsmouth offers an LLM Corporate Governance & Law/Grad.CG which is accredited by the Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) as equivalent to the Institute’s Qualifying Programme, and graduates of the course are entitled both to the award of a Masters in Law and to graduate membership of the CGI UKI.

The LLM has been running successfully for over 10 years, and is taught by a team of both research active academics and experienced professionals. A particular feature of the course at Portsmouth is its links with practice and its programme of career development events.

The Company has over the years supported the course at Portsmouth in a variety of ways, including running workshops on some of the practical aspects of AGMs and speaking to students as part of their initial induction week.

The Company offers a prize to the best performing student on the Portsmouth course and was delighted that the successful applicant for the Company’s first intern exchange in Hong Kong (in 2019) was an alumni of the Portsmouth course.

The course at Portsmouth is open to graduates of any discipline, and it attracts a variety of students including recent graduates, mature students and career changers from the UK and overseas. (Portsmouth is ranked in the top 30 in the UK for teaching quality and student experience by The Times Good University Guide 2019).
