Dear Livery Members,

Thank you to all of you who attended the first in a series of ‘Lockdown Lectures’ about the Livery Companies.

The first two sessions of the web-lecture titled Treasures of the Livery Halls were exceptionally well attended, and the summation of feedback I received by email, phone call and on Twitter is succinctly captured by one among you as “That was outstanding!”.

NB. If the lockdown continues beyond another three weeks I will repeat Treasures of the Livery Halls for a third time in late May. See HERE for tickets.

Looking ahead I am working on a third lecture in titled Customs and Ceremonies of the Square Mile which will explore some of the less well known aspects of civic, livery and military ceremonial found in the City. Details will follow in due course.

Lastly I attach ‘Treasures of the Livery Halls – Resources‘, a list of online and print resources that I circulated to attendees of the Treasures of the Livery Halls lecture. I thought your membership may appreciate a copy as it includes details of three virtual tours. I
