The Annual Assembly and Installation Court – 11th October 2023
At the Annual Assembly on 11th October, the chairs of the Court committees gave reports on the Company’s Annual Accounts, finances, educational and membership-related activities, along with the previous chair of the Charitable Trustees who reported on the charity’s performance. The outgoing Master reported on his year in office, and the incoming Master reported on his aims for the year.

Senior Warden Mrs Gabrielle Williams Hamer, The Master Mr Christopher Edge, Junior Warden Ms Shirley Creed
At the Court meeting, Mr Christopher Edge was installed as Master, Mrs Gabrielle Williams Hamer as Senior Warden, and Ms Shirley Creed as Junior Warden, each for the year ensuing. Liverymen Rev Hilary De Lyon and Sheila Lumsden OBE were elected as Court Assistants. Mr Mahesh Desai and Dr Anne Punter were admitted as Liverymen and Ms Vicki Brooks was admitted as a Freeman.
A citation was presented to the Honorary Chaplain to recognise the significant contribution he has made to the Company during his first ten years’ of service (See separate article).
Following the Assembly and Court meeting, the Installation dinner was held in the marvellous Barber-Surgeons’ Hall.
