On 12th October 2022, having installed the new Master Mr James de Sausmarez, Senior Warden Mr Chistopher Edge, Junior Warden Mrs Gabrielle Williams Hamer and Court Assistant Mr Geoffrey Hunter, we made our way into Plaisterers’ Hall for dinner, to celebrate. We welcomed a good number of enthusiastic guests, including Livery Masters and senior officers from the armed services, along with friends and colleagues of the Master.

Excellent entertainment by performers from the Guildhall School of Music was enjoyed by all, singing an array of popular songs from well-known musicals. A lot of people were tapping their feet or humming along with them!

A happy audience then listened to speeches from the Master and the Principal Guest, John Barradell OBE. Earlier on in the evening, the Master had the pleasure of clothing John in the Livery of our Company, as an Honorary Liveryman.

The event was one of good food, captivating entertainment and great company! We finished the evening off with a stirrup cup, before bidding goodbye until the next time we all meet.

We wish Mr James de Sausmarez a very successful and enjoyable year as Master.
