On 26th November, we enjoyed having the run of HMS Belfast with a free audio guide, private use of the Officer’s Wardroom and bar, including prosecco and a festive tea with more than we could possibly eat!
Ngaire Bushell from the Imperial War Museum gave us a talk on HMS Belfast’s role in the D-Day Landings and played us live testimonies from veterans that she has worked with personally.
It really was fascinating and a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
