‘Futures and Foresight – essential context for recovering from Covid, managing risk and safeguarding the improvement of organisations.’ will be given by Jeff Gold who is Professor of Organisation Learning at Leeds Business School and Dr Nick Beech, Director of Executive Learning at Leeds Business School. The Moderator will be Past Master David Lock, Chair of the WCCSA Education committee.
Open to Liverymen, Freemen, Mentees and Apprentices of WCCSA and to Liverymen in membership of FSG Companies, the presentations will be followed by questions and discussion.
Organisations in the UK and around the world are facing a significant future of uncertainty which is likely to continue for several months if not years. The Covid 19 pandemic is already resulting in new ways of living and working. This dynamic will continue to unfold. The anticipation of the future will play an important role in the management of risk and safeguarding and improvement of organisations. Futures and Foresight is the interdisciplinary study of the future, drawing on a of methods and techniques that allow consideration of possible, plausible, probable, preferable and potentially creatable long-term futures.
