The Worshipful Company of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators is delighted to launch a reciprocal internship exchange between the UK and Hong Kong, in conjunction with the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (“HKICS”), and the successful UK candidate has now been selected.

Ted Nicholl, Senior Warden said of the process:

“A group of past masters very kindly agreed to undertake the difficult task of reading all of the applications that were received, and producing a short list of three candidates.

The Master, chairman of the Finance and General Purposes Committee and I interviewed the three candidates last week, and if I’d thought that the shortlisting was hard then the final selection from the three terrific candidates was monumental!

After lengthy debate and discussion we came to the decision to make an offer to Rory Herbert. Rory is a 23 Year old student on the ICSA collaborative Portsmouth LLM Corporate Governance and Law course.

We are now discussing dates and the final details.

Particular thanks to all of the candidates for their submissions and to the past masters for their hard work in assessing the applications.
