Anyone who didn’t attend the WCCSA Professional Networking event at the Guildhall on 5 February, missed a thoroughly enjoyable evening! 

The event was well attended, with a number of potential new members in attendance, all eager to find out more about joining the Company. Each of these were assigned a ‘buddy’, who could introduce them to other members, and tell them of their own experiences of being a WCCSA member.

Caroline Evans, the founder of Mindleap drew on her wealth of expertise on Company Secretarial and Corporate Governance matters, both as a coach and as a Senior Associate at Link Asset Services, to provide an inspiring and interactive talk on Maximising your Potential as a Company Secretary. Many of those attending added their own views, information and questions into the mix, receiving help and guidance from Caroline. Continuing her talk without a pause amid a slight technological failure, Caroline urged the audience to find their own Unique Selling Point, in order to market themselves.

There was further time after the talk for more Networking over delicious canapes and a glass of wine, and as we all reluctantly left, current and future members looked forward to meeting up again at future events.
